6 Tips on Caring for Hamsters

Hamsters are perfect pets for children. Hamsters are relatively nice, cute, and easy to maintain essential.With proper care, hamsters can live up to five years.Here are tips on caring for a hamster to stay healthy and live longer: 

1. Cage or aquarium.Hamster 
should be placed in a cage or aquarium that is not blurred. Enclosure must have a solid base to the top of the covered wire.If you prefer to put a hamster in an aquarium, the top of the aquarium should also be covered with wire, especially if your aquarium is not too high to avoid hamster escape. 


2. Alas cage or aquarium.  
Give the base cage or aquarium with wood shavings or waste paper. Never use pine shavings as a base for producing steam that can be toxic to hamsters. 


3. Food supply.
Give enough food hamster. Types of food should also be varied to avoid boredom and ensure the fulfillment of all nutritional needs.Hamsters should be enough fresh water. Give also hamster fresh foods such as sunflower seeds every few days. 


4. Toys for hamsters. 
Add a variety of toys for the hamster. A wheel can be placed in a hamster cage. Choose a solid wheel pan.Wheels that have the potential to make such steps as hamster broke his leg injury.Add to this the former roll of toilet paper, or tissue box as a hiding place hamster. You also can give the hamster dog biscuits as a snack. 


5. Cleaning the cage or aquarium.
Cages should be cleaned every few days. Clean the cage in the afternoon. Hamsters are nocturnal animals that day.Cleaning the cage in the morning or afternoon will only make a more aggressive hamster. Clean up all the leftovers.At least once a week you should lift all the pads and clean the cage thoroughly with washing. 


6. Maintaining healthy hamsters.
Note if the hamster shows signs such as dull eyes, lethargic, and matted fur.These markers may indicate the hamster is sick. If necessary, take the hamster to the vet immediately to get the right treatment
